Neck Lift in Tampa, FL
You don’t have to be obese or over weight to have an accumulation of fat on the anterior parts of the neck. This could be under the chin or around the neck. These fat deposits can be easily removed with neck lift surgery. If you have no problem with fat deposits, but have loose muscle and skin, this surgery can still help you regain beautiful neck contours. Dr. Soler has been performing neck lift surgeries for patients in Tampa and throughout the surrounding southwest FL cities, such as St. Petersburg and Clearwater. Dr. Soler believes in a personalized approach to cosmetic surgery to ensure patients reach the overall goals they are looking for.
How is a neck lift performed?
The purpose of neck lift surgery is to get a more youthful neck with regained contours. Dr. Soler performs a neck lift under general anesthesia at a surgery center. The procedure requires an incision to be made under the chin for removal of fat, after which the muscles are tightened and if necessary, some skin may be removed. The patient leaves the hospital with their neck and chin wrapped in dressing or in an elastic sling around the neck. Any initial discomfort after surgery can be easily controlled with oral medication prescribed by Dr. Soler. Bruising and swelling takes about two weeks to disappear entirely and the desired result of the surgery is visible after a month or two. Many patients who undergo neck lift surgery may also get other surgeries performed in conjunction with it, such as mid facelift, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery.
Is neck lift surgery covered by insurance?
Neck lift surgery is considered a cosmetic procedure and is not covered under insurance. Any specific suitability and risks involved with the surgery will be evaluated with your Dr. Soler during your consultation at his Tampa office. Even though all surgical procedures carry a slight degree of risk, major complications are very rare when undergoing neck lift surgery.
